In a special episode of Late Confirmation, we visit the Concordia Annual Meeting in New York, where a wide range of thinkers and creators from various fields meet together with the UN General Assembly. In this episode, we sit down with four celebrities from the blockchain sphere and ask them every question: Where is blockchain technology in the cycle of exaltation?

The Gartner cycle, for those who don’t know, tracks the expectations of new technology over time. Developing technology can reach the pinnacle of inflated expectations before falling into the Trough of Disappointment, from which –– if successful –– it will emerge on the Slope of Enlightenment. As a subjective measurement tool, the hype cycle can be a useful thought experiment for thinking about discussions of blockchain technology.
